Ichthyosaurus communis (SICB 2020 Austin)
Life reconstruction of the type genus for Ichthyosaurs, Ichthyosaurus communis. A small animal with extremely large eyes Ichthyosaurus would have most likely inhabited shallow seas taking up an ecological niche that was a mix between those taken up by smaller Sharks and Cetaceans.
This reconstruction was done for the IOB Open Booth at SICB 2020 in Austin, Texas and was made using Zbrush, Blender and Photoshop.
